Wind Tree Water Feature, Wynyard Quarter

As part of the ongoing development of Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter, the iconic Wind Tree sculpture was reinstated with a new integrated water feature. H2O Systems was contracted to provide the detailed design, installation and commissioning of the complete water feature system.

Client: Dominion Constructors

The system incorporated twin feature pumps, sand filtration, automated chlorination and pH control, automatic mains water make-up and flood protection.

After commissioning, ongoing servicing identified higher than anticipated debris loading from the exposed waterfront environment. H2O subsequently upgraded the filtration system with an additional filter, improving performance and reliability.
